Lausanne Issue Network Spotlight: Business as Mission
In this series of posts, The Judson Center is occasionally highlighting some of the issue networks at the Lausanne Movement. Each issue network is a group of like-minded global influencers who seek to partner, discuss, brainstorm, pray, and challenge other Christians to address a pervasive need facing the global church today. Each issue network is facilitated by a catalyst, with many others in partnership together. The third issue network to be highlighted is: Business as Mission.
From their issue network webpage:
The Lausanne Business as Mission (BAM) issue network asks the question, ‘How can we shape business for God and for good—among all peoples?’
Business as Mission is:
- Profitable and sustainable businesses
- Intentional about Kingdom of God purpose and impact on people and nations
- Focused on holistic transformation and the multiple bottom lines of economic, social, environmental, and spiritual outcomes
- Concerned about the world’s poorest and least evangelized peoples
